2026 RFP Announced

January 15th, 2026

New Mexico Filmmakers: Get ready for the 2026 round of funding from the New Mexico Documentary Incubator Grants program!
The Request for Proposals will be issued on January 15th, 2026 and proposals will be due by February 27th. Funded projects must be completed within 6 months so it’s not too early to start thinking about your documentary project.

2025 Grant Recipient Annie Ersinghaus documentary screenings

Annie’s incredible film The Land of Sacrifice will be screened Saturday Nov 22nd in Farmington, NM.
The film continues to resonate with New Mexicans far and wide on an issue that effects us all. Please join Annie at the screening, and if you have not seen it you may view the link on her bio page here.

2025 Grant Recipient Michael Santillanes’s documentary in festival

It is our pleasure to announce that 2025’s NMDIG recipient director Michael Santillanes’s film Fractured Narratives has been accepted to the New York Documentary Film Festival. His film is an unflinching look at the immigration debate in the United States and New Mexico in particular.

We are thrilled to announce showings of films from 2025’s NMDIG cohort of emerging documentary filmmakers. The filmmakers have been hard at work for months and will be screening their projects for the first time ABQ and Santa Fe.
